Chika idu is a multi media artist from delta state of Nigeria, he had his art education in Auchi federal polytechnic in Edo state where he majored in painting. His professional art practice has spaned over 27 years to date and during these period he has had very successful and rewarding art career.
Chika Idu's works are a reflexion of his chain of thoughts and life issues as it affect his living space. His thoughts which is expressed through his works has overtime navigated between issues related to women and children, their response to cultural, traditional and ssocietal interrogations, in addition to his body of pictorial dialogues are his views and representations to environmental pollution questions

Chika idu is known for his use of water colour, Acrylics and oil paint mediums which surprisingly are very distance in style and techniques. His oil paintings are characterised by heavy overplayed signature hazy textures, a technique he developed through his sturdy of dust and light.
